We have had a fabulous time over the last 5 weeks with our Family Club cooking sessions, Judy and Bea from Big Top Catering have certainly given us all something to think about in terms of tasty, healthy, and nutritious food – not to mention how it doesn’t have to cost a lot to make some scrummy meals.
This week we had the chance to taste Butter Bean & Chorizo Casserole and One Pot Chicken Casserole that Judy and Bea had made earlier for us. Recipes were given out and we are hoping that some of the parents send us some lovely photographs of the casseroles that they make.
Sadly, tonight was the last session of this block of cooking and we all waved a fond farewell to Judy and Bea, but not before all the families that attended were presented with a certificate (even the adults got one!) as well as a lovely folder with all of the recipes in along with some activity sheets and quizzes to keep them all entertained.
We have all thoroughly enjoyed the cooking sessions and want to say a really BIG thank you to all the parents and children that attended, and also a special thank to Big Top for coming along and sharing all their delicious foody ideas with us.
