Football at Highfield Primary this week focused on tackling skills with Key Stage 2 and dribbling skills with Key Stage 1.
In the tackling drill with Key Stage 2, all the children had a football each apart from 2 that were on the attack and they had to try to tackle the ball from the other players.
Key Stage 1 stepped up to the challenge of dribbling skills. They had to dribble the ball along lines and in a controlled area.
All the children were focussed on the tasks and got involved, having lots of fun taking on learning new skills, leading to 2 games on football at the end of the session.
Football club ended with all teams shouting “winner” as the ending score was even.
