St. Matthew’s support staff training day.

St. Matthew’s primary school, Urmston had a staff training day on the 18th November, Kickstart supported the day by providing childcare.

To celebrate the start of Children in Need, the children at After school club made chocolate apples. They used lots of hand/ eye coordination to cover their apples in melted chocolate. However, Kickstart staff observed them making choices not to cover the entire apple but save some chocolate for themselves. most had chocolate faces by the end, all thoroughly enjoyed the activity. One child chose to have honey rather than chocolate, he also enjoyed having a taste of what was left in the bowl.

On Monday 18th November the children were off school for teacher training day. The children were kept stimulated as they baked cakes, made emoji hearts, took part in mathematical and literal quizzes and enjoyed utilizing physical and mental skills by competing in ‘Just Dance’.

Don’t forget our ‘Breakfast with Santa’ on 12th December. Pre-booking required. Please contact either Rebecca or Jackie via email or telephone: or speak to Linda or Lisa in the setting.
