This week has been our final week before the summer term at our Family Clubs, and what a week!
Families at all of our schools worked hard on their baking skills, some were absolute beginners, some had done some baking previously and as you see from the photo’s – some were experienced bakers. We would like to thank everyone who took part, you are all amazing and we look forward to seeing you all again in September. The bake off’s were judged by our local housing associations (Forhousing) who kindly assist with funding. I also managed to cajole a member of school staff and Sam to co-judge. A big thank you to all, I believe it was a difficult job: eating all the goodies and having to decide a winner. Each cake was scored on appearance and taste.
ForHousing also completed reviews on the Family Clubs whilst at our sessions. Thank you to all who shared some lovely positive comments and we really appreciate your suggestions for improvements or future activities. These will be taken on board for next years clubs.
We have some lovely ladies who have volunteered to teach you some specialist bakery skills and also some basic Asian foods. We will be in touch ready for September. If you have skills that you would like to share with our clubs please get in touch, we are always looking for new ideas and experiences for our families. We hope you all enjoy your summer break.
Don’t forget to check out our summer sports camps – run by our fantastic sports teams that your children are familiar with.
