A fantastic first term at Marton & District’s After School Club: the children and staff have settled well into their new club, after happily changing the room around, adding displays, writing their own club rules and generally making it just right for them.
Some of the activities the children at the club have taken part in are: baking cookies followed by sharing afternoon tea, going on many woodland walks – searching for items to decorate the hub and also use for craft such as leaves for painting to pine cones to make hedgehogs.
Marton children demonstrate an affinity with nature, and showed concern on how to look after the wildlife once winter arrives. The After School Club decided to make bird feeders and bird tables to ensure their feathery friends are fed each morning and evening
Next week, the hub may look a little creepy. The children will be using cutting, sticking and craft skills to make spiders and bats which will decorate the ever changing tree. All children are kept busy with a variety of crafts, activities and games available to suit individual tastes and ages.
The Kickstart Team & staff at Marton Primary would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the changes and given full support to the provision. We hope you all have a wonderful half-term break.
