Remembrance Day 2017

Remembrance Day 2017Kickstart would like to pay their respect, to all the families and service personnel who have helped to keep us all safe and to remember the men and women who have given their lives in combat, on Remembrance Day this year.

This year Armistice Day is on Saturday 11th November 2017, and Remembrance Sunday is 12th November 2017.  As well as having a two minute silence to remember the fallen soldiers in World War I, World War II, and the 12,000 Brits who have died in combat since 1945, services are held all over the country on this Sunday, and parades are seen by cadets and serving armed forces personnel around Cenotaphs.  A National Service of Remembrance will be held in Whitehall, London at the Cenotaph on Sunday.

The children in After School and Breakfast Club, have this week been learning all about Armistice Day and Remembrance Day and taking part in activities to show our respect by making Poppies.
