Westwood Park Community Primary – Family Club Summer Party 2017

To celebrate all the hard work and success during the last year of our Family Club, where we have lots of different intergenerational and family activities, we held our Summer Party on Wednesday.

The party consisted of a sports day, where boys, girls, brothers, sister, parents and grandparents all competed against each other in different races, fun was had by all with a little bit of friendly competition on show between the Kickstart Team; Dean, Dave, and Sam.

After we had stopped laughing and giggling over our attempts at the sports games we had a delicious buffet, provided by Big Top Catering. The children had the chance to sit down with their friends and families to devour the food.  There was a lot of talk about who dropped the egg the most during the egg and spoon race and some more giggling and laughing!

There were prizes on offer during the children’s party for the winner of our musical bumps and musical statues games.  The dancer of the day was Noah, for his outstanding dancing and break dancing skills.

After our delicious buffet, the children and adults all had their fingers crossed with high hopes of winning the main prizes in the raffle.  Everybody left a winner, each taking home a small gift on behalf of Kickstart and Westwood Park Community Primary as a thank you attending the club each week, and enjoying the range of activities that are delivered.

Family club is aimed at getting families together to take part in a range of activities having fun and supporting each other. We deliver cooking, gardening, arts and crafts, sports, and adult education.

This is our third year at Westwood park running family club and it has grown bigger and bigger each year.
