Barton Moss and Kickstart Get Recognition from The School Games

Kickstart are very proud that Barton Moss has received recognition from the School Games for the work that has been carried out at the school in the Autumn and Spring terms of 2019/20 and for the Virtual Work carried out in the summer term.

The school has been recognised for their excellence in sport and for the hard work carried out to keep children engaged in physical activity during lockdown. The commitment and sportsmanship that the children displayed in competitions and The Kickstart Virtual Sports Day were among the factors that were recognised as being a major part of the awards.

Salford SGO Dean Gilmore was delighted to present the award to Barton Moss Primary School,

“Barton Moss fully deserve to receive a Recognition Award for their PE and School Sport Provision in the truncated year 2019/20. It was a pleasure to visit the school earlier in the year to see the great work going on. Amongst other things, the school had the opportunity to represent Salford at the County Basketball Level 3 event and they were commended on both their play and their fantastic sportsmanship. As it turned out, Barton Moss were the only primary school that had the opportunity to represent Salford in 2020 and they did us all proud. Congratulations on this award and we look forward to working with you in 20/21.”
