Family Support and Intervention
We offer early intervention support, designed to promote the development of key life skills for children and young people.
Our Smart Choices Programme and 1:1 Therapeutic Interventions have been popular across many of our partner schools and are now delivered from our Community Hub at Westwood Park Community Primary School. These interventions have proved highly effective in supporting a wide range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
As explained by the Early Intervention Foundation;
“Early Intervention can help children and young people to develop the skills they need to live happy, healthy and successful lives. It can improve the quality of children’s lives and family relationships, increase educational attainment and support good mental health”
(EIF, https://www.eif.org.uk/why-it-matters/why-is-it-good-for-children-and-families)
We believe that children deserve the right to explore their current life experiences, range of emotions and concerns within a safe and stimulating environment, whilst learning new skills. Our interventions are designed to help children understand WHY they might be struggling and HOW they can support themselves and others.
