Kickstart Flow Dance Studio was set up midway through 2021 to provide children with the opportunity to grow in confidence and use dance as a way to express their feelings and emotions. When the dance troupe was formed there were a handful of primary school aged children who attended once a week to participate in cheerleading. With support from the Friends of Barton Moss, who obtained CVS Funding and through the support of Kickstart, the group now has four times as many dancers, practice various dance styles and train three times a week, having competed in a national UK Cheerleading Competition back in May 2022.
Due to a very large increase in costs, the Dance Studio has recently relocated from Salford City Academy to Barton Moss Primary School. We are keen to ensure that the girls can compete for many years to come so Kickstart are providing leisure wear for the dancers and parents/carers are purchasing outfits for competitions, but we want to fundraise so that a lot more support can be offered in the future. We are aiming to raise a total of £2000 which will be used to subsidise dance, travel and accommodation costs for dance competitions outside of the Greater Manchester area.
On Friday 18th November we are holding a Fundraising evening at Salford Roosters Rugby Club.
