Kickstart at Barton Moss Community Primary
Hello everyone, welcome to our half-termly Keeping Up with Kickstart newsletter. Here’s a snapshot of what children have been enjoying recently at Barton Moss, along with key updates and what’s coming up next.
What’s Been Happening
It’s been a fantastic half term packed with creative activities, outdoor play and summer-themed fun.
Children have enjoyed our Under the Sea theme, creating colourful sea creatures including turtles, jellyfish, octopuses, fish and starfish. They have also explored a variety of summer activities, including making hot air balloons and creating flags linked to the Women’s World Cup.
With the warmer weather, children have loved spending time outdoors, taking part in beach-themed activities, enjoying the holiday season and developing important skills such as kindness and resilience. They have also enjoyed trying new foods and experiences throughout the term.
Highlight of the Term
- Celebrated a fantastic Beach Day with the school, including a picnic and lots of outdoor fun.
- Enjoyed a variety of summer-themed activities and creative projects.
- Developed kindness, resilience and confidence through group activities and challenges.
- Tried new foods and experiences throughout the half term.

Important Information
As the weather remains warm, please ensure your child attends with:
- A named water bottle.
- A sun hat or cap.
- Sun cream applied before arriving at club. If your child needs to reapply sun cream during the day, please ensure they bring a named bottle with them.
