Kickstart at Barton Moss Community Primary
Hello everyone, welcome to our half-termly Keeping Up with Kickstart newsletter. Here’s a snapshot of what children have been enjoying recently at Barton Moss, along with key updates and what’s coming up next.
What’s Been Happening
Over the past few weeks, children attending our Kickstart provision have been taking part in a range of creative and child-led activities.
This half term, the children have enjoyed:
- Arts & crafts, including bringing nature into creative activities.
- Time in our music and reading corners, giving children space to relax and explore their interests.
- The introduction of a new fidget corner, supporting focus and wellbeing.
- An overall focus on playing together and finding new interests, helping build friendships and confidence.
Highlight of the Term
- The children have loved learning about caterpillars, including how they grow, what they eat and the process of metamorphosis.
- This has been a fantastic opportunity to explore nature and life cycles in a fun and engaging way.

- Kickstart is turning 10!
- Kickstart 10-Year Party – 12th June
- Summer Spread Tea Party – 17th July
- Pizza & Story Night – 20th July
- Summer Bingo – 22nd July
- Summer Holiday Club – begins week commencing 27th July
