Kickstart at Bradshaw Hall Primary
Hello everyone, welcome to our half termly Keeping up with Kickstart newsletter. Here’s a snapshot of what children have been enjoying recently at Bradshaw Hall Primary, along with key updates and what’s coming up next.
What’s Been Happening
Over the past few weeks, children attending our Kickstart provision have been taking part in a range of creative, active and child-led activities, supporting confidence, teamwork and wellbeing.
This term the children have celebrated:
- Earth Day – The children have enjoyed learning about caring for our environment and its habitats. We have recently released our butterfly after watching the full life cycle process since our caterpillars arrived during the Easter holiday club.
- International Nurses Day – The children created thank you cards and images for our local nurses, and Grace kindly delivered these to a local doctor’s surgery to show our appreciation.
Highlight of the Term
- To bring the term to an end and celebrate all of our Year 6s’ hard work during SATs, as part of our child voice, the children planned a week of celebratory special nights. This included a movie night, pizza night, forestry fun, baking and a disco.
- Kickstart’s 10th Anniversary celebrations in after school club – the children enjoyed a disco-themed session with dancing, party games and snacks throughout.
Upcoming Dates & Events
- Kickstart is turning 10!
- Whitsun Holiday Club – Tuesday 26th May to Friday 5th June
- Summer Holiday Club – begins week commencing 27th July
