Kickstart at Cheadle Catholic Junior Primary
Hello everyone, welcome to our half-termly Keeping Up with Kickstart newsletter. Here’s a snapshot of what children have been enjoying recently at Cheadle Catholic, along with key updates and what’s coming up next.
What’s Been Happening
Over the past few weeks, children attending our Kickstart provision have been enjoying a variety of creative, active and child-led activities.
This half term, the children have particularly enjoyed:
- Popular activities such as balloon stress balls, indoor dens and creative crafts.
- The introduction of our new quiet zone, featuring soft blankets, cushions and new books to support wellbeing and relaxation.
- Making the most of the outdoor space in the warmer weather, including using the field when dry for cricket, archery and football.
- A new focus on having a planned craft or activity each evening, which the children have loved and regularly contribute ideas towards.
Highlight of the Term
- The children have really embraced having structured activities each evening, showing great enthusiasm and confidence in sharing their own ideas.
- The introduction of the quiet zone has also been a big success, giving children a calm and comfortable space to relax.
Upcoming Dates & Events
- Kickstart is turning 10!
- Sponsored Event – Week commencing Monday 22nd June Children will take part in a sponsored silence for 1 hour.
- Holiday Club is available at Bradshaw Hall Primary – please see posters in reception for full details.
