Kickstart at Mottram C Of E Primary
Hello everyone, welcome to our half-termly Keeping Up with Kickstart newsletter. Here’s a snapshot of what children have been enjoying recently at Mottram C of E Primary School, along with key updates and what’s coming up next.
What’s Been Happening
This half term, children have enjoyed taking part in our exciting themed activity days, each offering new opportunities to learn, create and explore.
- Messy Monday – Creative crafts and messy play activities.
- Taste Tuesday – Food tasting, preparing ingredients and planting activities.
- Water Wednesday – Fun water-based activities, ice play and bubble challenges.
- Thinking Thursday – Solving riddles, completing puzzles, construction activities and quizzes.
- Forest Friday – Outdoor adventures using natural resources, den building and scavenger hunts.
These themed sessions have encouraged creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and outdoor exploration while ensuring children have plenty of fun.
Highlight of the Term
- Made our own delicious smoothies and explored different flavours.
- Enjoyed World Cup-themed activities throughout the term.
- Celebrated with a special World Cup Party, bringing everyone together for games, activities and football-themed fun.

Important Information
As the weather remains warm, please ensure your child attends with:
- A named water bottle.
- A sun hat or cap.
- Sun cream applied before arriving at club. If your child needs to reapply sun cream during the day, please ensure they bring a named bottle with them.
