Kickstart at St Kentigern’s RC Primary
Hello everyone, welcome to our half-termly Keeping Up with Kickstart newsletter. Here’s a snapshot of what children have been enjoying recently at St Kentigern’s, along with key updates and what’s coming up next.
What’s Been Happening
Over the past few weeks, children attending our Kickstart provision have had a fun-filled and exciting term, with a strong focus on wellbeing, teamwork, creativity and enjoying time together.
This term, the children have enjoyed:
- Nerf Day – A huge highlight, with team battles, obstacle courses and target games. The children showed fantastic teamwork, communication and sportsmanship throughout.
- Spa Day – A calm and relaxing session focused on wellbeing, including face masks, hand massages, mindfulness and calming music.
- Movie Night – Transforming the setting into a cosy cinema space with blankets, snacks and drinks for a relaxing end to the day.
- Cooking Activities – Becoming little chefs by making dishes such as tuna pasta salad and pizza bagels, building confidence, independence and teamwork skills.
- Sports & Team Games – Staying active through a range of games, including rounders, while developing skills, confidence and encouraging one another.
Highlight of the Term
- Nerf Day was a standout experience, bringing lots of energy, excitement and teamwork.
- It has been fantastic to see children building confidence, supporting each other and enjoying a wide variety of activities together.
