Everyone at Kickstart is saddened by the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II. Her late Majesty was one of the greatest leaders the world has ever known, and she was indeed Elizabeth ‘The Great’.
At aged just 25 she came to the throne in a country that was emerging from the shadow of war. She served 15 countries as Head of State, and the Commonwealth family of nations is as it is today because of her.
Her devotion to her duty remains an example to us all and she will be greatly missed.
As we enter the period of mourning it has been announced that the State Funeral will take place on Monday 19th September 2022. Kickstart will be closed this day as a mark of respect and so that we can pay our own tributes.
In our childcare provisions, the children will be writing letters and making cards which we will send to Buckingham Palace as tribute to the late Queen and to wish King Charles III the very best in his reign as our new Head of State and Monarch.
Our Kickstart Flow Dance Troupe will be performing a commemorative dance reflecting the passing of Queen Elizabeth II and we will share this as a fitting tribute.
