Kickstart welcomed Shadow Secretary of State for Education Kate Green MP to our Holiday Club Provision earlier this week. Kate is a great advocate of Out of School Clubs and she spent time discussing the challenges that the sector faces with Directors Dean and Rebecca, whilst speaking to staff and children.
Kickstart are delighted to be working with Trafford Council and offering the Holiday and Activity Fund to help children on Free School Meals this summer. This funding has meant that Kickstart has been able to increase attendance at our provision and provide additional staffing. Kate was pleased to see how this operated and the varied activities that Kickstart were providing to all children.
Kate said she “had a blast” at Kickstart and we hope to welcome her to our setting again in the near future.
