KICKSTART HOLIDAY CLUB IS COMING TO MESNE LEA, WALKDEN Following the success of the Holiday Activity Fund, we have decided to expend our offer at Mesne Lea and deliver a full holiday club in the October Half Term Holidays. There will be a variety of activities on offer for the children, from arts & crafts to sports and games and even some fancy dress and a disco/party to celebrate Halloween on Friday 28th October in the setting. The club will be open from 8am until 6pm from Monday 24th October 2022 until Friday 28th October 2022 at Mesne Lea. Children are required to bring a water bottle, packed lunch and suitable clothing. Everyone at Kickstart is looking forward to the 2022/23 school year and we welcome two new partner schools who we are looking forward to working with. Bosley St Mary’s CE Primary School is a small village primary school located in East Cheshire. Our Coaching team will be delivering PE at the school after working with the school during the past couple of years to provide small school competitions and festivals. Peel Hall Primary School is a large primary school based in Little Hulton. The new Headteacher Emma Ford has implemented a new school vision and values and Kickstart were impressed by what she wants to achieve. Kickstart will be providing a family club and early intervention services to the school, in addition to a fencing enrichment programme which will supplement the PSHE curriculum. Everyone at Kickstart is saddened by the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II. Her late Majesty was one of the greatest leaders the world has ever known, and she was indeed Elizabeth ‘The Great’. At aged just 25 she came to the throne in a country that was emerging from the shadow of war. She served 15 countries as Head of State, and the Commonwealth family of nations is as it is today because of her. Her devotion to her duty remains an example to us all and she will be greatly missed. As we enter the period of mourning it has been announced that the State Funeral will take place on Monday 19th September 2022. We have a very special visitor from Ofsted tomorrow (Wednesday 25th May 2022) coming to visit our afterschool childcare provision at Barton Moss. The Inspector is very much looking forward to visiting the setting and we would like to advise all parents and carers that this is taking place. The 2022 Summer Holiday Club is now open for bookings. The team have put together a fantastic and exciting programme for the children and we are also able to confirm a schedule of special days and trips* The Club will be open Monday to Friday throughout the summer from 8am until 6pm from Monday 25th July until Wednesday 31st August 2022, The club will not be open on the Bank Holiday Monday 29th August 2022. Our clubs book up very quickly and we have limited space.
